EFCA is delighted to announce the winner of the seventeenth Future Leaders’ Competition: Aida Santos Santamaría (Spain), 34. Among a highly competitive field of entries from across Europe, Aida impressed the jury with a project demonstrating innovation, technical excellence and a strong contribution to the future of the engineering consultancy sector.
The Future Leaders’ Competition recognises outstanding young professionals who are helping shape a more sustainable, digital and resilient built environment.

Best Presentation
Anastasiia Evstratova (Finland), 33, received the award for the competition’s most compelling and engaging presentation, demonstrating excellent communication of complex technical ideas.
Engineering Excellence
Vittorio Nascetti (Italy), 35, was recognised for his strong technical expertise and innovative approach to addressing complex engineering challenges.
Digital & New Technologies
Erdem Tiryaki (Türkiye), 33, received the award for his outstanding application of digital innovation and advanced technologies in engineering solutions.
Impact on Climate
Davide Felloni (Italy), 35, was recognised for a project demonstrating a strong contribution to sustainability and climate resilience.
Contribution to Society – Joint Winners
Oleksii Sokhatskyi (Ukraine), 35, and Aisling Hahessy (Ireland), 34, were jointly recognised for projects delivering significant social value and positive community impact through engineering.
